General terms and conditions of use

User and contract conditions within the framework of the use and conclusion of purchase contracts via Delfin Centre

What information do we keep?

We keep certain information when you visit our website or apply to the school. We understand the importance of keeping your personal information secure and letting you know how we will use it.

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data displayed in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and user browser ID, to help detect spam.

An anonymous string based on your email address can be provided to the Gravatar service to verify that you are using it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is here: Privacy Policy Once your comment is approved, your profile photo will be publicly visible to it.

Contact forms

We collect the basic data that you provide to us through the contact forms. These are the name, email, message, IP data and browser type through which the contact form is sent, which is located on our “Contact” page. This data is required in order to service your requests and inquiries and at the same time to prevent etc. unwanted “spam”.

Conditions for courses & REGISTRATION:

The contract is concluded with the registration via the online form or the written registration via the registration form used by the carrier. The participant must pay a registration fee of €20.00 immediately. Depending on the circumstances, the provider is free to demand payment of the total course price in advance.

Registration obliges you to pay the course fee before the start of the first course event.

Later payments are only possible within the framework of installment payments, which are associated with additional costs and can be agreed in writing in individual cases. There is no entitlement for the participant to conclude an agreement to pay in installments.

COURSE ORGANIZATION:

The minimum number of participants is 6 participants. If an event is not held due to an insufficient number of registrations, the participants will be refunded the fee already paid. The provider can make an alternative offer to the participants, e.g. to conduct the course with a reduced number of hours or at an additional cost.

The contract ends automatically at the specified end of the lesson. This does not apply if the participant extends his/her course during the booked time.

The provider mainly works with native speakers, but the participant is not entitled to be taught by a specific teacher or teaching method.

The content and works on these pages created by the site operators are subject to European copyright law. The duplication, editing, distribution and any kind of exploitation outside the limits of copyright require the written consent of the respective author or creator. Downloads and copies of this site are only permitted for private, non-commercial use. Insofar as the content on this site was not created by the operator, the copyrights of third parties are observed. In particular contents of third parties are marked as such. Should you nevertheless become aware of a copyright infringement, we ask that you inform us accordingly. As soon as we become aware of legal violations, we will remove such content immediately.

COURSE INTERRUPTION/BREAKS:

If the participant is unable to take part in the course due to illness or other foreseeable reasons for which he/she is not responsible, he/she must inform the provider immediately and state the reasons. The provider can request proof of the inability to attend and offer the participant an alternative extension of the course. The participant has no right to this.

PAYMENT OBLIGATION:

  • The obligation to pay the course fees exists regardless of whether the course is attended.
  • In the event of non-participation in the course or termination of participation in the course, the provider will not reimburse any course fees. Fees not yet paid must be paid.
  • The participant can only offset against claims of the carrier with undisputed or legally established claims.
  • If a written cancellation of the registration is received no later than 10 working days before the start of the course, the provider will refund the deposit. However, a processing fee of €30.00 will be deducted. The other course fees are waived. If the revocation is received later, it is ineffective.
  • Any changes to the course bookings made must be announced in advance and are associated with additional costs.
  • Participation in a trial event is possible against payment of €10.00 before the start of the event. However, there is no entitlement to a trial date.

You can also register in person for a language course or a language exam at speakeasy. In order for us to process your registration, you have to provide the following data: name, email address, sex, nationality, first language, date of birth, address, phone number, course or exam level and course or exam date.

Individual Lessons:

The aforementioned regulations also apply for individual lessons.

The contract is concluded with the registration via the online form or the written registration via the registration form used by the carrier. The participant must pay the full course price immediately, depending on the selected course offer.

Installment payments for individual lessons are only possible in individual cases after a written agreement. There is no entitlement for the participant to conclude an agreement to pay in installments.

Appointments should be agreed at intervals of no more than two weeks. In exceptional cases, longer intervals can be agreed in individual cases. If such an exceptional case does not exist and the participant does not make an appointment that takes place within two weeks, the booked lessons that have not yet been taken will expire. The forfeiture does not occur if the carrier is responsible for the non-occurrence of such an appointment.

Cancellations of appointments must be made on a working day at least 24 hours before the agreed appointment, Monday appointments no later than Friday 7 p.m. by telephone at the office of the carrier, otherwise the appointment will be billed.

RIGHT TO TERMINATE:

7.1 If more than 480 lessons have been agreed, both parties can terminate the contract at the end of the 480th lesson up to the last date before the end of each 480 lesson. Lessons that have already been paid for but not yet taken will then be refunded.

BGB (termination for good cause) remains unaffected.

CONCLUSION OF INSURANCE:

Taking out adequate health and liability insurance is not a requirement for course participation, but is recommended by the provider.

Accuracy and Confidentiality

All Personal Data processed by Dolfin Educational Centre must be kept accurate, complete and up-to-date as is necessary for the Purpose(s) of Processing. The personnel of Delfin Centre shall make sure that the Personal Data obtained directly from Data Subjects or indirectly is verified against relevant documentation.

Delfin Educational Centre shall use appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard Personal Data, including when third parties are engaged in processing Personal Data on Delfin Centre’s behalf.

DISCLAIMER:

The carrier is only liable for accidents and other damage to participants or theft or damage to their belongings during the events in the event of intent or gross negligence attributable to them.

The carrier assumes no liability for accidents and other damage during the journey to and from the events.

These sites may collect information about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party statistics tools, monitor how you work with these tools, including how you use embedded content if you have an account and are logged into the site.

STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA:

The provider uses electronic data processing for the purpose of administering the courses.

  • The following data is collected upon registration: first and last name, address, date of birth, professional status, e-mail address, landline number and mobile phone number. Passing data to third parties is ruled out.

How we protect your personal information?

Delfin Centre applies organizational, physical, information technology and other necessary measures to ensure the security and protection of your personal data and the monitoring of their processing. Delfin Centre LTD restricts access to your personal data to its employees, except in cases where there are reasonable grounds to handle this information in order to perform their work duties. Delfin Center LTD has physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with its legal obligations regarding the protection of information about you.

OTHER:

  • There are no classes on weekends and public holidays in the state of Berlin. The canceled course hours of the intensive courses will not be reimbursed and will not be made up for at another time.
  • The participant is obliged to treat the equipment, facilities and event rooms used by him/her with care and to observe the house rules and fire protection regulations of the building in which the events take place, as well as any smoking bans.
  • A violation of the house/school rules by the participant entitles the provider to an immediate ban from the building. The provider does not tolerate any insults or sexist or racist statements towards lecturers, employees or other participants in its rooms. Violations of this also entitle the carrier to an immediate house ban.
  • Amendments to these conditions must be made in writing.
  • For course participants sponsored by the provider, there are separate conditions of participation, which are specified in the respective contract.
  • The general terms and conditions of the respective examination institution also apply to examinations.
  • The place of jurisdiction is Petrich if the participant is a merchant or has no general place of jurisdiction in Bulgaria.
