Who are we

We keep certain information when you visit our website or apply to the school. We understand the importance of keeping your personal information secure and letting you know how we will use it.

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data displayed in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and user browser ID, to help detect spam.

An anonymous string based on your email address can be provided to the Gravatar service to verify that you are using it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is here: Privacy Policy Once your comment is approved, your profile photo will be publicly visible to it.

We collect all the comments.

Contact forms

We collect the basic data that you provide to us through the contact forms. These are the name, email, message, IP data and browser type through which the contact form is sent, which is located on our “Contact” page. This data is required in order to service your requests and inquiries and at the same time to prevent etc. unwanted “spam”.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you can allow the storage of your name, email address and website in cookies. They are for your convenience, so you don’t have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will be kept for one year.

If you have an account and log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.

Delfin Educational Centre may process, inter alia, one or more types of the following personal data:

  • Job applicants and Delfin Centre personnel, relating to their (potential) role within Delfin Centre including contact details, rĂ©sumĂ©, professional development, personnel file, benefits, compensation, etc.;
  • Delfin Centre employees’ family members and dependents, relating to employee benefits and services;
  • students which are being trained at Delfin Centre
  • consumers/members of the public, some of whom also become direct customers,relating to the services we provide to them or that they ask us about;
  • the personal data of the complainants, persons who entered in a written correspondence with a Dolfin Centre or deposited with documents containing their and / or foreign personal data and of other persons who, in any case, have contacted Delphin Centre in its capacity of a data controller,
  • images captured via CCTV cameras while Data Subject is within the Delphin Centre's premises.
  • Other information collected on paper or electronically for visitors in the Delfin Centre`s premises.
  • Information about personal details of representatives of clients or customers.

The content and works on these pages created by the site operators are subject to European copyright law. The duplication, editing, distribution and any kind of exploitation outside the limits of copyright require the written consent of the respective author or creator. We use Google Analytics to track Statistics and to analyze site visitors as a third party offering its free tools for delfincentre.com.

Who do we share your data with?

If you contact us via the email address provided on our website, you give us at least your email address as well as further information provided in your message. In order for us to process your request, we have to process this data.

You can register for a language course or for a language exam at Delphin via our website. In order to do so, you must provide the following data: name, email address, sex, date of birth, place of birth, your address, the course or exam level and the course or exam date you wish to register for.

Registering for language courses

You can also register in person for a language course or a language exam at speakeasy. In order for us to process your registration, you have to provide the following data: name, email address, sex, nationality, first language, date of birth, address, phone number, course or exam level and course or exam date.

How long we hold your personal data?

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are saved indefinitely. This is so that we can automatically recognize and approve your subsequent comments, instead of keeping them in the approval queue.

For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except that they cannot change their username). Website administrators can view and edit this information.

Your rights over your personal data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments on it, you may request a file containing all the data we store about you, including data you have provided to us. You may also request that we delete the personal information we hold about you. However, this does not include data that we are required to store for administrative purposes, for the security of the site, or by law.

Right to be provided with certain information

You can ask us to notify everyone to whom we’ve given your personal information whenever we amend, delete or agree to restrict our use of it.

Right to data portability

If we’re using your information on the basis of your consent or because we need it to carry out our contractual obligations to you, you can ask us to give you your personal information in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or have it transmitted to another data controller.

Right to object

We may use your personal information to further our legitimate interests; e.g., we may use information about you to improve our marketing messages because we have a legitimate interest in making sure our students know about courses which could be of benefit to them. We’ll always give you a right to object whenever we intend to use your personal information for our legitimate interests.

How to stop receiving marketing messages

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data. Liability of content

As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content on these pages according to Section 7, Paragraph 1 of the German Telemedia Act (TMG). According to §§ 8 to 10 TMG, however, we as a service provider are not obliged to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information or to investigate circumstances that indicate illegal activity. Obligations to remove or block the use of information according to general laws remain unaffected. However, liability in this regard is only possible from the point in time at which knowledge of a specific infringement of the law is known. Accuracy and Confidentiality

All Personal Data processed by Dolfin Educational Centre must be kept accurate, complete and up-to-date as is necessary for the Purpose(s) of Processing. The personnel of Delfin Centre shall make sure that the Personal Data obtained directly from Data Subjects or indirectly is verified against relevant documentation.

Delfin Educational Centre shall use appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard Personal Data, including when third parties are engaged in processing Personal Data on Delfin Centre’s behalf.

Personal Data Breach

All information/data breaches must be reported to the responsible privacy officer immediately as per the applicable requirements of the law.


Transfers of Personal Data

In the exercise of its business activities, Delfin Centre may transfer data with third parties only once it makes sure that data privacy and security is guaranteed appropriately.

When transferring Personal Data to a third party country outside the EU/EEA, Delfin Centre shall ensure that binding rules, in agreement or otherwise, require to the third party to provide adequate guarantees for the protection of Personal Data are in place.

WHERE WE STORE AND USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

The data that we collect from you will be primarily stored on our database provided by our Cloud. Data is stored on the secure Microsoft Cloud Platform and these are on EU Western Europe servers only. We do not share the data with anyone else. We also keep some paper copies of information on site at the Language school. Information may also be shared between staff as appropriate and as necessary to meet the needs of our business and to deliver your education.

The school uses email and cloud storage with Google for Education. In addition, you will be given a google for education account when you study or work at the school. This information is not shared by Delphin English Language School with anyone else. Google have their own Privacy Policy which you can access here: https://policies.google.com/privacy

You will also have access to the Cambridge University Press learner management system. This information is not shared by Delphin English Language School with anyone else. Your data will be processed to support your education, health, travel, accommodation and welfare while studying at a Delphin English Language School. This will include among other things, the processing of your application, summer camps travels, arranging your studies, teaching and any tests or exams. We will also use it for managing your education, processing your payments or reporting on your progress to you, your parents, sponsors or educational agents (where appropriate).

The data may also be used to meet our regulatory, legal, inspection or compliance responsibilities. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storage or processing by Delphin English Language School. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk.   • If you book guardianship we will pass the required information to the guardianship company.

How we protect your personal information?

Delfin Centre applies organizational, physical, information technology and other necessary measures to ensure the security and protection of your personal data and the monitoring of their processing. Delfin Centre LTD restricts access to your personal data to its employees, except in cases where there are reasonable grounds to handle this information in order to perform their work duties. Delfin Center LTD has physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with its legal obligations regarding the protection of information about you.
