Our Mission

Our mission is to provide education and training that equip students with real-life skills to advance themselves and make a significant and useful contribution to their communities. Delphin creates life-changing opportunities for children, teens and adults and neighbouring communities to realise a better future for themselves and their families.

Our Values

Caring: Young people perform at their best when they are in a caring, nurturing environment. Our family approach ensures this is the case.

Loyalty: Within their school families, students have responsibilities to each other, support each other and are loyal to each other. We regroup families from time to time to foster loyalty to all fellow students.

Flexibility: In a rapidly changing world, the future is uncertain. We encourage students to embrace opportunities and to open doors to new possibilities.

Resilience: Successful young people are confident that they can overcome adversity. That is why we focus on building resilience.

Challenge: We encourage students to take on and overcome challenges, constantly achieving higher goals and progressing in all aspects of their development.

Our Beliefs

We believe that learning a language can be easy and fun. Miracles happen and they are real in Delphin Center! That is why our students receive a different type of learning. With a choice of individual or course learning, offline or online, from level A1 to C1, for over 20 years we have been teaching children, young people and adults to practice English with full confidence! We have handed out over 8,000 certificates for successful tuition, and many of our students have persued careers in various fields.

Our Vision

  • We aspire to offer our pupils the best of language education in a bilingual and bicultural setting where they can reach their full potential.
  • We aim to develop well-rounded, highly motivated global citizens, aware of their responsibilities to others, and confident in their ability to succeed.

Our Goals

The aim of Delphin Language & Educational Centre is to provide high quality education for our students, and improve the living standards of the Community. We want to raise healthy, happy, self-confident personalities and neighbouring communities.

  • During our Summer School time we teach English, soft & social skills and communication.
  • Our Learning Centre introduces young children to basic subjects, helps them improve their English skills so that they can progress confidently.
  • Our IT program is designed to teach computing and programming skills to help them enchance their career opportunities.
  • Our Health & Hygiene program educates children and their families about the importance of cleanliness and good hygiene at school and in the home.
  • Our cultural activities and creative art sessions help our students develop creative thinking and improve their communicative skills.
  • Classroom conversations are encouraged in order to create a “safe zone” type of environment which maximizes creativity and motivates our students to freely participate.
  • Intrinsic motivation levels are increased by creating fun language activities, drama and games.

Improving verbal communication

As teachers our common goal is to increase intrinsic motivation and by doing so the verbal communication in the classroom is increasing. The more that communication amongst the students is encouraged, the more enjoyable the students will find the experience, and the more motivated they will become as they begin realizing their language study goals.

Our Methods

Create a learning environment

It is the main task of our teachers to create an environment in the classroom which will maximize the opportunity to learn English. The Language teacher is the person who exercises the greatest influence on the student who is engaged in learning the language.

Once the student is in the classroom, it is the teacher's attitude and approach to teaching English that will have the greatest effect on the student’s level of intrinsic motivation. For a variety of reasons, students come into the classroom with different levels and varying degrees of motivation. Whatever the students level of motivation is, be it intrinsic or extrinsic, when they enter the classroom it is the students' teacher who is ultimately going to have the biggest effect on how motivated that student is going to become.

What is the Direct Method?

Learning a foreign language with this method is based on the way we learned our native language – we first learned to speak and only then to read and write.

In other words, through the direct method we create the necessary reflex for instant response, which helps us to express ourselves automatically in all situations, as we speak our native language.

Group activities are key

They are an excellent way to make the class more communicative. The students can use the language which they have already acquired as a means to work together between themselves as they accomplish each small task and basically continue learning from each other. This positive interaction between the students will build confidence and increase their motivation.
